Meet Over Chai with Nisha

Dubai · Abu Dhabi · Delhi NCR · Online

Everyone leaves a networking event with business cards.
Almost nobody leaves with business.

Meet Over Chai is two hours on a Thursday morning, built around the part most events skip: making sure the person across the table is someone you actually needed to meet. Forty-five editions, and counting.

First one’s on us

Two screens, nothing to prepare. Rather ask something first? Message Nisha on WhatsApp.

How the morning goes

  1. Arrive and pourTwenty minutes of nothing structured at all. Find a chai, find your seat.
  2. The roundsFour minutes each, a minute to move. Who you meet is planned, not whoever sat nearest.
  3. Write down what matteredTwo minutes. Who to follow up with, who to refer, who to pass on.
  4. Open networkingThe unstructured part — now that you know who's worth finding.

How many rounds depends on how many people turn up. It's worked out on the morning and announced before the first one.

Three rules we hold each other to

Trust before TransactionNobody is pitched in round one. The business follows the relationship.
Give before AskTurn up with something useful for someone else. That's who the room remembers.
Collaboration over CompetitionTwo people in the same industry are more useful to each other than threatened by each other.

Still being built

The room is being given a memory.

The rounds and the matching are running. What is not yet running is the part that remembers across Thursdays, and we would rather name it than imply it.

In design A host that remembers Who you met, what you asked for last Thursday, and who in the room can answer it.
In design A referral ledger that fills itself The screen exists and the taps are already recorded. It gets useful once enough Thursdays have run through it to be worth reading back.
In design Standing membership Explorer, Chai Circle and Founder Circle — a seat you hold rather than book. Prices are not settled and are not published until they are.

Where something is not live, it says so on the card. The Thursday is real and it's this week.

Come and see.

Your first Thursday is on us. Everything else can wait until you’ve been.
